Quy and his family immigrated to Canada in 1984 from Vietnam. Quy's experiences of growing up with parents that were not native to the country and did not speak the language have made him realize at a young age how challenging life can be for people who do not have the proper legal representation in Canada. Although all Canadian citizens have rights and laws that protect them, without proper legal representation a person can become victimized or lost in the legal process.
A large part of a lawyer's job is getting the prosecutor, judges, or jurors to understand the entire story of what happened - not just the snapshot that is reported by the police or witnesses.

During his undergraduate studies, Vison had the amazing opportunity to work as a summer research intern with Senator Thanh Hai Ngo at the Senate of Canada in Ottawa. During Vison’s time working with Senator Ngo at the Senate of Canada, his team was given the project to conduct research and prepare a report on human right’s abuses. It was during the completion of this human rights research project that Vison took a keen interest in the importance of the rights of the individual and the crucial role due process of law has within a just and free society.
Vison has developed a practice primarily focused within criminal law and commercial law. He uses his life experiences, whether gained from his home in Nova Scotia, in the country’s capital of Ottawa, or abroad in the United Kingdom to help him connect to his client and their particular needs and to get the best result for their matter.
Outside of work Vison has a strong interest in reading, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as film, ranging from pulp to arthouse.
